photo diary no.1

So after my promises, I have finally been able to take some pictures of the curious homeland. I am sorry about the random spots. They are from the dirty car window since no one washes their car here. If they do, it will have all gone to waste the next day because of all the sandy air.

Just a typical side of the road thannng.

Some more side of the road stuff.

A typical Libyan home with a painted flag in the front.

This is the nicest mosque in Benghazi. My mom forced me to take extra pictures of it because she wanted me to show the nice side of Benghazi.

Yet another angle.

Same mosque.

Some subsidized goodies on the road.
This is a busy street that is known for its shopping.

Inner road.

The apartment buildings.

A crapload of mannequins.

Really badly kept buildings atop of new shops.

This is where parts of the revolution protesting happened.

This lighthouse is the symbol of Benghazi (I guess like the Statue of Liberty for Benghazi).

Sunset by the coast

More sunset

And another one.

the beginning

So here we go. I preferred this blogger formatting a lot more to other one so I am sticking with this one. Haha, it seems weird to type out on my own little blog. Like, it almost seems like I constantly think, who the hell is going to care to read this dumb blog anyways (??) but regardless, my teenage hesitation is not going to get in the way of letting my friends communicate with me. I told you all I was going to start a blog and I am going to do just that. But um unfortunately I don't have any pictures yet. They are coming I swear! I just keep forgetting to bring my (now useless) iPhone to take pictures and if I do, I feel weird to be taking pictures. Seriously though, people take picture-taking (photography duh!!) very seriously. (I know I used 'seriously' twice in one sentence) ((I am doing a lot of parentheses speak))

It is apparently like an unspoken rule here that young ladies and women should not have pictures of themselves online. All my female cousins have pictures of various cartoon characters or celebration cakes for their profile pictures. It is a bit weird, it is almost as if people think that teenage boys with use the pictures for..different reasons. I doubt it. But anyways, my sister wants the laptop right now to go on tumblr to repost pictures of fried foods. I will be back with pictures.
